We as SMD are an interdenominational Christian network that wants to remain independent as such. We explicitly do not want to be a substitute for church congregations! Most SMD members come from different congregations.
If you are looking for churches in Erlangen – here is a small collection of churches (no claim to completeness and no guarantee for the dates of services!) At the bottom we have listed a short list of other Christian university groups – just in case you don’t like the SMD (which of course we hope you don’t)..
Protestant churches
Ein großer Teil der evangelischen Gemeinden ist – ebenso wie die SMD Erlangen – Mitglied der Evangelischen Allianz.
Catholic churches
Erlangen is historically very Protestant in character, which is why there are comparatively many Protestant or free-church parishes. Nevertheless, there are also several Catholic parishes, some of which have merged.

Of course, we are happy if you find the community and spiritual context you are looking for with us. If this is not the case, we do not want to deprive you of the other Christian student and university groups in Erlangen and the surrounding area.
